19.11.09: profichip introduces proficonn

Another innovative solution to interface devices to PROFIBUS is now presented by profichip. There are two different interface modules available, proficonn-DSUB and proficonn-DIP28, providing an easy and economic solution.

Based on the smallest PROFIBUS ASIC VPC3+S, both modules include the complete galvanically isolated RS485-Interface and a serial SPI communication channel to the customer application.
proficonn-DSUB is designed for direct enclosure mounting while proficonn-DIP28 can be assembled in a standard IC-socket on the PCB.
Just as for the PROFIBUS ASICs the software-stack for DP-V0 is offered for free.
