The Handyscope is a powerful bus signal measuring instrument that can be used for almost every PROFIBUS DP and PA measurement situation: signal amplitude, noise, peeks, DC voltage, etc. This small and robust instrument consists out of four measuring instruments: Multi meter, Oscilloscope, Spectrum analyzer, Transient recorder and an Arbitrary Waveform Generator.

An oscilloscope like the Handyscope, is the only tool that can give you real information about the signal quality on the bus. It is a perfect addition to ProfiTrace that gives the user information about the protocol. ProfiTrace can trigger the Handyscope to display the signal quality of every station in the network. Therefor PROFIBUS experts have 2 tools in their suite case: ProfiTrace and the Handyscope.

The universal software that is delivered with the Handyscope turns your PC into an all-in-one measurement instrument. An intelligent auto setup allows the inexperienced user to perform measurements immediately. The software allows you to save instrument settings on disk. These setting can be recalled, reducing the setup time of your instrument to an absolute minimum.

The integrated AWG operates fully independent from the measuring system of the Handyscope . It has a 50 MHz sampling clock, 1024 / 128K samples deep waveform memory, 14 bit output resolution and ± 12 Volt output range. The AWG allows you to generate test signals for your measurements in any shape you like. Several standard signal shapes are available and it is possible to regenerate previous measured signals.
